    Chocolate Orange Delights

    	3 ounces unsweetened chocolate
    	3/4 cup butter
    	1 cup brown sugar
    	1 cup white sugar
    	1/2 cup sour cream
    	2 eggs
    	2 tsp grated orange peel
    	2 cups sifted flour
    	1 tsp baking soda
    	1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
    	2 cups chocolate chips
    Chocolate Glaze:
    	3 ounces semisweet chocolate
    	1 tsp orange extract
    	4 tbsp butter

Melt unsweetened chocolate and allow to cool. Cream butter and sugars
thoroughly until very light. Add sour cream, eggs, orange peel and
melted unsweetened chocolate. Beat well. Stir in flour, baking soda
and salt. Add nuts and chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded
teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake for 12 to 15
minutes at 375 F. Let cookies cool on wire racks.

Chocolate Glaze: Melt semisweet chocolate with orange extract in small
heavy saucepan over low heat. Add butter a tablespoon at a time. Stir
until smooth. Spread on cookies; if desired, decorate with candy
sprinkles before glaze sets. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.

| Brought these to a party over the weekend and they vanished in no time.
Terrific cookies, especially for chocolate lovers! Instead of orange
extract, Cointreau was substituted, but the flavor wasn't "orangey"
    enough.
These are probably excellent with a variety of nuts such as pecans,
walnuts and macadamia. White chocolate chunks would also go well.
    Next time....
