There have been other notes in here asking about cooking classes, but none covering the New Hampshire area. I'd like to take a series-type class (not a one-class deal), and definitely prefer hands-on to watching the teacher have all the fun. I'm willing to drive a fair distance, but would like to keep it under an hour, so something closer than Boston would be appreciated. Does anyone have any suggestions?

| Don't know what style of cooking class you're looking for, but
    here's a few places....

     Kapers, Amherst
Teachers name is Sara Goldstein or Goldberg. I don't know if
she is still in business and I don't have her phone number.

The classes are held in her kitchen, so class sizes are usually
small. She's "wicked" hyper and lotsa fun.

That Kitchen Place, Rt 101A, Amherst, 883-8122

Joyce Chen's (Amherst Plaza) Rt 101A, Amherst, 880-7777
Bangkok, DW Highway (Rt 3), Merrimack, 883-9666
This is a Thai restaurant. Rumors has it that the
owner does cooking lessons in the restaurant.

    The Cooks' Concern, Salem 893-9732

| Re: -2 or so - We know Sara Ginsberg. She lives in Amherst, NH, right in the village. Her number is 673-4802. Yes, she conducts "series"-type courses; she's also the culinary editor/writer for the Milford Cabinet. She does a radio talk show occasionally. She's VERY serious about cooking. Last week she spent a day with Julia Child. BTW, her husband is a DECie. Art | |||||
