| | I THINK YOU MEAN "BLAND" DIET, WHICH MEANS IN THIS SENSE, NONIRRITATING
BOTH IN TEXTURE AND CONTENT. WHOEVER DIAGNOSED YOU SHOULD HAVE
RECOMMENDED A DIET TO YOU, AND IF HE/SHE DIDN'T YOU SHOULD ASK FOR
    IT.

IF YOU HAVE NO FOOD INTOLERANCES, ALLERGIES, OR OTHER SPECIFIC "OFF-
LIMIT" FOODS, YOU CAN EAT THINGS LIKE JELLO, CLEAR BROTH (CHICKEN
OR BOULLION), JUICES LIKE APPLE/CRANBERRY/PEAR/APRICOT/ETC., PUDDINGS,
CUSTARDS, ICE CREAM (WITHOUT NUTS, RAISENS,OR CHUNKY ADDITIVES).
ALSO, MACARONI AND CHEESE, PROBABLY BAKED FISH, AND SIMILAR SOFT
    FOODS.

STAY AWAY FROM RAW FRUIT AND VEGETABLES,EXCEPT FOR BANANAS, AND
ANYTHING THAT IT CRUNCHY, TOUGH OR HARD TO CHEW.

    GOOD LUCK,

| | You might want to watch out for the dairy products (milk, cheese,
ice cream, chocolate, etc.). Even though they are bland they can
    be hard to digest.

Instead stick to things like plain chicken, fish, breads, rice,
    and plain potatoes.

| | You should've been advised as to what you could eat. I liked my
doctor's attitude back when I had my first and only ulcer. Keep
in mind he had me on Tagamet (you too, maybe?). He said I could
eat anything I wanted to, unless it bothered me when I ate it.
If anything bothered me, then don't eat it again. It worked! I
found that I could eat mexican food, but couldn't eat spaghetti
    sauce and coffee.

I just found out that I have a peptic ulcer so I really appreciate
this note too. I am trying to learn how to eat differently as well.
My doctor also told me to just try things and see what upsets me.
Right now I am still in the soup, pudding, mashed potato stage.
I have found that greese of anykind really makes me ill, especially
butter or maonaise. I can tolerate low fat products though..expecially
low fat yogurt and low fat cottage cheese. Sure will be glad to
    be able to eat again!
