    Where did you move to Massachusetts from?  That is, did you move from
    New Hampshire so you are looking for a store in your city, or did you
    move from California so that a store in New Hampshire would be
    acceptable?
    
    If the latter, Purity Supreme carries Noodles Romanoff.  I just
    realized I'm not sure if it is Betty Crocker, but I think I've only
    seen one brand, and the "International Noodles" line sounds familiar. 
    
    Also, as I recall, the box changed a while ago -- the size, color, and
    design changed, but it is the same product.  If that change was
    co-incident with your move, you might not be seeing the box right in
    front of you.
    
    I believe Purity Supreme has stores in Massachusetts, but I don't know
    where.  If one near you does not carry them, try filling out a customer
    response card asking for it.  (Don't bother talking to the people in
    the store; they didn't do diddly to get Dr. Pepper in cans after their
    distributor changed.  I asked a couple of times, and nothing happened,
    but I mailed one of the cards and they had it in stock two or three
    weeks later and ever since.)

    Yes, definitely ask at the closest supermarket to you.  I wrote
    on a card "Why is it that you are the only store in the city which
    does not carry the large (40 lb) bag of ...... dog food? I have
    to go to Store ... for it".  Within 2 weeks they had a good size
    supply of the 40 lb. bags!  Unless it's a major coincidence that
    several other people asked for it, but I doubt it.

    I moved here two years ago from New Jersey.  In fact, since
    I left, all of my old stores down there havve stopped stocked N.R.
    My sister was grocery shopping on vacation in Hilton Head,S.C. and
    she found some in a store there, so she mailed me 13 boxes.
    .....such is my obsession......
    I have tried all of the local grocery stores in Sudbury, Stow, Acton,
    Wayland, but I cannot find N.R. at all.  I know the box changed.
    
    I like the idea of asking my local Star Market to order it for me.
    I'll try that this weekend.

    I just checked the brand I have.  It's Quaker's "Golden Grain" Noodles

    I *know* I've gotten Noodles Romanoff at Purity Supreme, although not
    all that recently.  The last time I got it, which was within the last
    few months, I got it at Shaw's in Nashua.  Haven't checked recently for
    it, though (it's been too hot to eat hot food!).

    Speaking of Betty Crocker stuff, a few months ago I found Betty Crocker
    Pudding Cake mix (chocolate), much to my delight.  Brought back
    childhood memories.  It was under their "Classic Cooks" (or Classic
    something or other) series, which also includes Boston Cream Pie (also
    shades of childhood) and gingerbread.  However, I only found it one time
    (also at Shaw's in Nashua) and haven't seen it since.  I guess I should
    ask for it.  Has anyone else seen it anywhere? (I've never seen it at
    Purity Supreme.)

    I said in .8 that the last time I got Betty Crocker's Noodles Romanoff,
    I got it at Shaw's in Nashua.  When I was at Shaw's the other night, I
    looked for it, but saw only the Golden Grain brand that Eric (edp)
    mentioned earlier, so I may have been mistaken about getting the Betty
    Crocker brand there.  Sorry.  I don't think there's much difference in
    taste, though.

    What is Noodles Romanoff, you ask (-.1)?  Noodles with a cheese-y,
    sour creamy sauce.  I don't know how else to describe it; I don't think
    I've ever really looked at the ingredients...

    	I have tried the B.C pudding cake mix that you are speaking
    of, for me too it also brings back childhood memories, as this is
    one of the first recipes that my grandmother (a wonderful cook,
    but then whos gram isnt)taught me how to make. Making the home-made
    version was very simple as I remember. If you would like I can look
    it up for you & enter it. I seem to remember it being in the Better
    Homes & Gardens cookbook under Brownie pudding cake , or mabye just
    pudding cake. Wonderful chocolate gooey cake....great served warm
    with Bryers' Vanilla Ice Cream.

	Hi Nina,
    
    		I would enter this as a new note, but to date I am very
    new at this & have no idea how to do that , it took me awhile just
    to figure this much out!!!
    
    
    anyway here it is:
    
    			Brownie Pudding  (stolen from the better homes
    					   & Gardens Cookbook)
    
    							Oven 350 deg.
    
    		1 cup all purpose flour
    		1/2 cup sugar
    		2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
    		2 tsp baking powder
    		1/2 tsp salt
    		1/2 cup milk
    		2 tbsp cooking oil
    		1 tsp vanilla
    		1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
    		3/4 cup sugar
    		1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    
    In large mixing bowl stir together: flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tbsp
    cocoa, baking powder, & salt.  Add milk, oil and vanilla, stir till
    smooth. Stir in nuts & turn into an ungreased 8x8x2 baking pan.
    Combine 3/4 cup of sugar & 1/4 cup cocoa, gradually stir in 1 1/2
    cups of BOILING water.  Pour liquid mixture evenly over batter in
    pan, and bake at 350 for about 30 min. or till cake tests done.
     Serve warm or chilled - great over ice cream.
