| | I would have to say it was that pile of toss by John Gordon Sinclair
and the jock football squad in 1982.

Can't remember the name of it...something like "Dream of Scotland" or
    another suitably laughable title.

"I have a Dream" was indeed a pile of 'Upside Down', with Words by John
Gordon Sinclair, Music from BA Robertson and whining drivel from the
Scotland Squad '82, including Steve Archibald and John Wark, a teenage
girls vision of beauty if ever there was one !!

However, I feel that the worst football song of all time is either Man
Utd's "Come on you Reds" or Liverpool's "Anfield Rap"

Was this 1982 truly worse than the 1978 one? I think you'd be hard
pressed to convince anyone that it was.

I think it was Englands 86 WC song can't remember the name but it went
something like " This time more than any other time .. We'll get it
    right" christ it was shit.

Mind you Ossie's dream was crap as well... not half as good as Blue is

Chelsea's "Blue is the colour" was the worst song for me, with
wonderful lyrics such as "football is the game".
Or could it be "Back home" England's 1970 world cup song.
To be honest I can't think of any good football songs apart
from "I'm forever blowing bubbles" :-).

| | 'Blue is the colour' - what a song. Best footie song every written.
My favourite line was 'Come to the Shed and we'll welcome you'.

Unfortunately, this song seems to have been forgotten by the current
Chelsea faithful. Then again, 'Come to the Temporary Uncovered
Seating Arrangement and we'll welcome you' doesn't have quite the same
     'je ne sais quoi'(sp).

record out called "Up where we belong". Whoops!!

Still all the teams that improved their goal difference against us
seemed to agree with those sentiments at the time!
