Last nights little drinky session dragged up an old topic, but one that
made for a hugely entertaining evening.
Who would be in your Ugly XI ???
There were so many candidates, that we even had ugly teams from each of
the Home countries. It then got slightly silly and went on to the
Short-Arsed XI !!! (Sammy Lee was captain !!)
Anyway, the final team that was selected was :-

Now I think you'll agree that that Team is pretty HORRIFIC !! The back
4 would frighten children for a living, and Nobby would just do his jig
with that inane grin on his face. Most disgusting though is Ralph
Coates, a man on a par with Bobby Charlton for worst haircut in
football !! And the SIZE of the man !!
Anyway, because there were so many players to choose from I will put in
the 4 Home Country teams, and you can add names to a seemingly
never-ending list of mutations that have graced the football field !!

Even more amazingly is that we have totally forgotten about one man who
could make you throw up if his face was on screen for too long. He
wasn't even mentioned last night, but in the lightness of day all I can
think of is this guy gangling it down the left-wing and looking as
though the slightest bit of wind would send him into orbit. I am
talking of course, about David Fairclough. How the hell we forgot him
I'll never know !!

Yep, I spotted it after I made the entry, but I do still feel that
just to confine him to the Scottish ugly team, would be a disservice
to a man who hit every branch as he fell out of the ugly tree.
