I'm sorry laddy but you really don't understand what it's all about.
footy is a normal abbrev of football wich is common use in this conference,
if you can understand that, that's your problem not mine.
About supporting a CL team. Why??????? I've never ever supported Ajax and
will never do so, my team will probably never play in CL but that's no
concern of mine, I'll support them anyway 'cause they are my team and
not 'cause they play or don't play in the CL.
Supporting a team is more than cheer for the team that plays the nicest
footy and win all the prices. For me it's a part of my life and if my team
wins a game I'm happy and if the don't I feel a little sad. I attend all
home games and when possible also away games, that's most likely more
than you can say.

Erm, I dont think you understand what he's talking about.
I think he was trying to say "why aren't you supporting the dutch
team when you are dutch". He means on a temporary basis, not buying
flags and scarves and chanting "Ajax forever".
I'd like to see British teams win all the european trophies, whether
they are Liverpool or not. Your compatriot there is just asking why you
dont feel the same way about dutch teams.

Gremio - Ajax 0 - 0 (0-0)
After penalties : 2 - 3.
Not Ajax' great game but still enough to win the penalty-lotterie.
Gremio tried with little fouls to bring Ajax out the track. Ajax played
very nervous and tensed ; the normal quick passing around didn't work.
Gremio just wited for the counter and created some chances, even after
one of their players had been sent out. Ajax had chances too but
players as Overmars, George, Kanu played under there level. Litmanen
missed a dream-chance. After the regular time and overtime it was still
that nasty 0-0. Gremio missed their first two penalties, Kluivert his
one. Endresult : 3-2 for Ajax. looking to the overall game ; deserved.

Sorry, after penalties it was 4-3 !
Marcelo, don't bother. Gremio played very well, but I know, only the
winning counts. Maybe they should stop to make nasty fouls and in stead
play football ; because they really can. Making fouls just holds up the
game and has the risk that you get a card....
And the penalties...just what I said, it's the lucky one that wins in
the end !
