| | Does TeamRoute for ALL-IN-1 v1.3a perform a relink during the
installation? If so, is it hardcoded to ignore DDS? Just
wondering how our system wound up without DDS support after
        TeamRoute as added.

| 808.2 | Relink, yes. DDS, I don't know | GALVIA::JFEGAN | Joe Fegan@ilo | Wed Feb 12 1997 15:39 | 10 |
| | Dave,

It does do a relink of ALL-IN-1 as part of the installation. It uses
the saved options from the last time but asks the user to reconfirm
    each of them.

I don't remember hearing about special about DDS but I can't be sure
off the top of my head.

    Joe.

| | Thanks Joe. I thought that was the way it would work, but
        anything is possible here.

| | There isn't a question about DDS, A1LNKASK.COM works it out for itself
by looking at the logical OA$DDS_PRIME. (Or OA$DIRECT_TYPE in V3.2) On
the other hand, A1LNKASK has some mystical code in it, so perhaps the
flag symbols that installations set/don't set (e.g. A1$RELINK) may
cause the DDS check to be skipped, and rely on the installation
making the decision to set the A1$DDS symbol itself.

| | I'll try and find where the installed placed the log file then.
Maybe there is a chance that this was the root cause of the
problem. It's more likely to be the "too many chefs ...."
        syndrone.
