| 656.1 |  | PASTIS::MONAHAN | humanity is a trojan horse | Fri Apr 21 1989 23:46 | 11 |
| | As meta-note information, this conference is now just over 25000
    blocks, and the disk it is on is so badly fragmented that it requires 4
    header blocks.

    	General activity is fairly evenly spread throughout the day, but
    with a peak of reading around 2a.m. East coast U.S. time (presumably
    caused by batch notary updates).

    	In a couple of weeks we expect to move to new hardware, so you
    should expect some unavailability, possibly followed by improved
    performance.

| 656.2 | repeat it in note 1 | DDIF::CANTOR | This is not all rock and roll, dude. | Sat Apr 22 1989 17:33 | 5 |
| | The intent of .0 ought to be found somewhere in topic 1 as well, since
that is where new readers would be urged to look for the conference
rules.

| | The lack of activity in this note for more than a year suggests
    that meta-notes might not be necessary. Opinions regarding the
    interest, usefulness, and possible theoretical importance of
    meta-notes, are now being solicited. (Opinions about meta-meta-notes
    have to wait until next year.)
