We are planning to be in Milan for Shabbat late in June. We're looking
for the name of a hotel near a synagogue. We have the Swiss Air guide
to Kosher hotels and restaurants. There are a couple of restaurants
listed, but no hotel. We also have accessed the Jerusalem One gopher
listings and the Jewish Travelers's Guidebook. These gave us the
address of the Rabbinate in Milan and the Lubavich shul. I found the
street where the Rabbinate is located on a map of Milan. We called the
Rabbinate and they directed us to call Lubavich. The number for
Lubavich is either wrong or the Italian phone system just isn't letting
us through. The street listed for Lubavich didn't appear on any map I
    could find.

Does anyone know of a hotel within walking distance of one of the
synagogues. If there is not a kosher hotel, is there somewhere we can
buy food before to keep us alive through Shabbat?

| Few years ago, there was a restaurant in the Jewish Comm. center and
some hotels around the place, at a walking distance. If you have a look
at the Jewish Travel Guide you may be able to find the name of the
place. I hope it is still open.
