Their 88-89 season contains 17 concerts that I know of, of which
3 have gone by and most of the balance is in the Massachusetts area
through April. Most are at Temples and JCCs. Some highlights for
    the greater Boston area:

    Dec:

    3rd/ Somerville, Somerville Theatre
    4th/Pittsfield
    7th/Springfield
    10th/Sudbury
    16th/Lexington
    18th/Worcester

    Mar:

    26th/Marblehead
    28th/Pittsfield

    Apr:

    15th/Newton
    16th/Stoughton

Give them a call; they can send you literature and put you on a
    mailing list!

| | Voice of the Turtle, a group of two men and two women, has been
around for several years. They perform mostly Sephardic music,
with lots of different instruments (many of which they've made
       themselves).

Their music is certainly different -- their Chanukah concert in
Somerville last year was played to a packed house, and most of the
people seemed to enjoy it thoroughly. You won't exactly be on
your feet jumping around as you might for a performance by the
Boston Klezmer Conservatory, but you probably won't be bored,
       either.
