Hi Amy--
Don't have the whole calendar here, but for starters:
Rosh Hashanah: evening of Sunday September 11,
		Monday Sept 12
		Tuesday Sept 13
Yom Kippur:	evening of Tuesday Sept 20
		Wednesday Sept 21
Sukkot: evening of Sunday Sept 25
		Monday Sept 26
		Tuesday Sept 27
Shemini Atzeret:Monday October 3
Simchat Torah:	Tuesday October 4
(In case you don't know the trick: On whatever day of the week Rosh
Hashanah falls (this year, Monday and Tuesday) the first two days of
Sukkot and Shemini Atzeret/Simchat Torah also fall. Yom Kippur falls
    the day *after*--this year, Wednesday.)
Happy synagogue hunting! /Fern

| | You might look in note 178 for a list of where people go.

Also, there is a book called "Guide to Jewish Boston". You can get it
at the Israel bookstore in Brookline or at Sabbath Lights in
Framingham. Even though I grew up in Newton, I didn't know that
much about the area outside 128 (esp. after being away over a decade)
and I found the book helpful.

Have you considered looking closer to work? I see from your node
that you are in Chelmsford. There is a Jewish community in Lowell.
Not very large but it has the full range of synagogues including
Conservative and the commute will be a lot better then trying to
    get from Chelmsford to Framingham/Natick.

My wife and I are from Conservative backgrounds but we belong to Beth El
(it's closest). We go to Beth Shalom when we need to find a mid-week minyan.

| | Beth El is Refrom-affiliated but conservative in practice - worth
a visit on a Shabbas morning to see if they meet your expectations.
Several friends of mine are members there; one couple married there,
about three years ago. The rabbi is an interesting fellow of a
    very mystical persuasion (if you like that sort of reading material;
    he's written various books).

| | Amy,

I am the membership chairman for Temple Beth Am in Framingham. We
are a reform congregation but maintain the traditions. If you have
any questions about the Temple, feel free to call me. We are
having an open house on August 25, 7:30 PM at the Temple for future
    members.

Re a calendar, call the Jewish Federation in Framingham. They publish
a bi-monthly newspaper called the Jewish Reporter that gives calendars
of Jewish events in the area, holidays, news of jewish interest
around the world, etc.-879-3300 is their number. The paper is free.

I am at dtn 223-7110 if you have any questions.

    Welcome!

| | Temple Israel in Natick is conservative. I believe that one of
the rabbis there, Rabbi Kushner, is the individual who wrote, "When
Bad Things Happen to Good People" (or something similar to this
    title).

| | Thanks for all the feedback. It is very nice to know
that there are people around who are willing to help
someone else. I am going to visit some of these
synogogues and see how they 'feel' to me.

BTW, I am living in Natick and that is why I asked for
    synogogues in that area.

    Amy
