As a mature woman - who didn't get much of a Jewish education -
I recently found a book that I find fascinating. It's called:
The Jewish Book of Why by Alfred Kolatch. It answers many questions
about Judaism that I didn't know. And, although my daughter was
bat mitzvahed and my sons were bar mitzvah - they do not follow
the holidays very much. My son is married to a non-Jewish girl
and I know there are areas in Judaism that she'd be interested in
knowing about. I bought this book for them as their Hannukah gift.
If anyone is interested - I bought them at Sabbath Lights in
Framingham.
