'Twas the evening before Hanukkah
And all through the place,
Excitement was mounting,
Hearts quickened their pace.
When all of a sudden,
Through a window half open,
Zoomed a colorful figure,
For whom all were hopin'.
He smiled and decalred,
In a voice loud and steady,
"It's me, Captain Hanukkah,
How are you, already?
I bring holiday goodies,
As I zip through the sky,
Oy Vey, Momma worries,
I don't have to say why."
He sighed and he shrugged,
"I've had SUCH a day,
I almost collided with
some guy in a sleigh."
He said he'd better be going
And as he took to the heights...
