Traveling to Ireland/Cork next week for father-in-law's 80th birthday.
Any ideas on new restaurants in/around Cork? Or other day-trips from
Cork--walking (hiking might be too strenuous for our skill) or biking,
etc??

If you prefer to go to North Cork for a really unforgettable meal may I
suggest Longueville House in Mallow. My mouth still waters at the last
meal I had there. Also after a year like this they should also have
their own Wine - Grown on the premises.
It is also worth staying the night there and enjoying breakfast. This
is living out of the top drawer.
