Their is a ferry crossing between Rosslare & Cherbourg and
Cork & Roscoff. Both ferry crossings take around 18 - 20 hrs.
I think that flights from Dublin - Paris are daily and the time
            taken is about 3 hrs.

| | That's longer than I thought. Do you have any idea of the cost of a
    flight?

    Thanks.

The cost of the flight is about 250-300. You might get it
cheaper if your a student or book well in advance.

I have travelled the Le Harve - > Rosslare route many years ago and it
was long; at least 18 hours. Thankfully they had a well stocked bar,
it made sea-sickness worth it. Remember that is one of the "choppiest"
routes in the area, can't remember why - NORTH SEA meeting ATLANTIC or
    clashes currents or something.

Also its not much cheaper than flying; usually the ferry is good for a
family, car-load gets a good deal. I expect with a resonable cabin it
would be at least 200 punts.

I think the airfare mentioned is 2 way, I think a one way Paris
Dublin, which takes less than 2 hrs, is about 160 punts.

| | There used to be a travel agency that had an office in one of our
facilities in Ireland. They could give you information on fares and
schedules. That's what I did a couple of years ago when I wanted to go
    Cork->Swansea.
