In our town they are holding a Christmas Tree Festival....we
decided to do a tree with an Irish Theme....is there any symbolic
or traditional things they do in Ireland with regards to
decorating their Christmas tree past or present?....

| Well,

Not with the tree itself, but one of the nicest traditions I found when
I lived in Galway shows the practicality of the Irish. Instead of
leaving cookies and milk, we left out a Guinness. Much more rational
for a guy whipping around the heavens in the dead of night.
