Sorry to but in on your note Aileen, I hope your sister has a
Good Birthday and you both have a good trip. If your travelling

Mike, do you remember you used to sing a long "Oh I do like to be
beside the Seaside " to the inactive cards being stamped?

| | Here is the correct spelling of "Happy Birthday" in Dutch :
    "Gelukkige Verjaardag"
As for the French version, it is more common to say
"Heureux Anniversaire" (which by the way is the translation of "Happy
birthday", while "Joyeux Anniversaire" would rather be the translation
    of "Joyful/Merry Birthday").
If I remember well, the Welsh version would be "Pen blwyth hapus".
Spelling to be checked by Welsh speakers !

Anyway, a happy birthday to your sister.

Although not European, but the French on this side of the Atlantic would
say 'Bonne Anniversaire', similar to 'Bonne Anne' for Happy New Year,
but totally unlike 'L'Action de Grce' for Thanksgiving. Of course,
they are even more unlike 'collin de beans' (pronounced collin de bin).

Unfortunately, I am not travelling with my sister..she is with some
friends...I am sending her card to my mother so that it will be there
when she arrives home again..well she wanted her presents and cards
when she got home...I think the reason was so she might get over the
post holiday blues if she had something nice to look forward
    to.....good idea.

    Hello Audrey,

How are u, those were the good old days in Ayr with Mike stamping away.
He is still hard at it over in US in the Maynard area. I believe the
plant is a changed placed since those early startup days. The Irish
crew from Ayr have certainly gotten around.

Mike in USA, Barry O Donoghue in DEC Maynard, Dave Kelly in Galway,
Bill Rowan in Kuwait, last i heard anyways, hope he is ok. Pat Crawford
here in Field Circus in Dublin, Gus Gannon in Sun Microsystems in
    Edinburgh. Who am I forgetting???
I will have to arrange to get back over on a trip, and kill a few
Mc Ewans (beer -).., it's 10 years since leaving. Oh GOD were has time
    gone.. -)

    regards peter.
