| | Hello, cousin Tom, you may have another cousin Niamh who's working
over here now (in Massachusetts). I get her mail now and then.
I think she's from around the Wicklow area.

My "Darcy" family is from Ballinasloe area. Did you drop your
    apostrophe too?

    Cheers,
    George D'Arcy

Just a tidbit, my father did a little investigation and found that
many Darcy's in Ireland are descendants from a royal family of Normans
who came to Ireland from England in around the 14th century, some time
after the Norman Conquest. There's a little village outside of Caen (if I
can remember) called Arci. I have an old map which shows the village.

There's other stories which peg Darcy as being an Anglo bastardization
of the Irish Dorchai, which I forget the meaning of. But the former
    sounds more interesting. ;-)

The Niamh Darcy mentioned in .1 is working in ESASE in Galway
and is from Greystones Co.Wicklow .

Niamh WAS in Mass. but came back to Ireland just before
St.Patricks day and has since left Galway for four months in Germany.
As far as I'm aware she does'nt read CELT but I have forwarded the
original note and reply .1 to her .

| | Ever been to a football match in Aughrim. Now that is some fun.
    No ball is needed.

There are a few lunatics from around the Bray area working here
in the Dublin office. Must be something in the air. Or maybe its
    the sheep

    	Wilkommen in Muenchen !!!

If you're a dancer there's a ceilidh tonite in the newly formed
Irish Folk Club (Max Emanuel Braureri (sp?), Adalbert str.). If
you're into Irish music then we play every 2nd sunday in a pub in
Fraunhofer str. Or if you want anything else just give me a shout,
    I'm in DEC-park IS, ext. 2262. There's 3 or 4 more paddies lurking
    about this place as well..........

    Hello all,
Sorry I have not been able to reply before but I have
had a very hectic weekend. Thankyou George for giving me the chance
to get in touch with Niamh, and I will be mailing her when I get
    the chance.

I have to go now because I am in the middle of a course and time
is short, but when time prevails I will be able to put in a longer
note and answer some of the questions you asked above

Slan leat (I think that is how you spell it but I was not very good
               at it in school)
