| I do not know of an American branch of the clan but if you ever
go to Scotland Colonel Faquarson has a castle nicer and larger than
than the Queen's , Balmoral. It is located on Deeside just
a few miles before you enter the town of Brammar.

Will look for Christie. Sounds like a Sept of a clan rather than
a clan itself. Sept members have full clan rights (like fighting
and dying for the clan).

(As a surname though, in Scotland it means "A diminutive of Christopher,
which signifies Christ's carrier.")

| I will be attending the games at Stone Mtn. Ga. again in October.
If anyone needs more info on clans or surnames, give a yell and
I'll check the clan tents.
If anyone care to come down, the games are October 17 an 18 at
Stone Mountin Park, Atlanta Ga. There is also a military tatoo
on thursday the 15TH of Oct at the park.
I will be working with the CAMERON's in the Scottish food stand
and welcome all those who would say hello!

| Speaking of well dressed Scots.
Back in the 18th century at Ft. Ticonderoga, there were many soldiers
of Highlands origin. Their penchant for bladed weapons was such
that it made it necessary for the command to issue a directive limiting
the number of bladed weapons a Scot could carry to three to include
Sghain Dhubh, Dirks, and swords, as well as bayonets and official
cutlery. It would seem that the well armed Highlander carried at least
one Sghain, one dirk, a broadsword and often a claedhaemhor to round
things out; sometimes an axe would also be added to the whole creating
a very heavy kit and a very impressive spectacle going into battle.
