I want to know the origins of the Irish name ORLA and some history
about the name. I am sure George will have it.

The name "ORLA" is derived from the GAELIC word "OR" (with
an accent over the "O"), which means "GOLD". "ORLA", I believe
means "GOLDEN". I have a niece named ORLA, who is not always
"as good as gold" ! I hope this helps.
