As is customary when March 1st rolls around, my mind is on planning
for this years St. Patrick's day celebration. My wife and I will
be throwing a little bit of a party for family and friends, and
I was thinking about what the invitations should be like.
I was thinging that it might be nice to include a little bit of
Gaelic, so as to make it seem somewhat authentic. Would anyone out
there know a little bit about the Gaelic language spoken in Ireland?
I would like a translation of something simple like "You are invited
to have the time of your life as the O'Donovans celebrate St. Patricks
day." (I add the O to my name every year about this time).
Also, if anyone has any hints as to entertainment, food, drink,
and/or decorations we could include to make the party more of a
success, please feel free to make any suggestions.
Thanks be too ya and may you too have the time of your life on St.
Patrick's day.

To start you off, O'Donovan in Irish is O'Donnabhain with an accent
mark on the second 'a'. It's from two Irish words 'donn' (brown)
and 'dubhan' (derivative of black).
Slainte!
