Hi Is there any guidelines for how many disk one should configure in one raid5 set ??. Is 10 disks to many ?? Would one get better performance with 6 disks one for each scsi bus ?? KMN

|     the spd defines how many devices and storage sets can be configured.
    
    currently the max number is raid 5 is 14 devices as of 3.0. 
    
    Depending upon your i/o requests and sizes, you may or may not get
    better performance, however if you are using more than one member of
    a raid set on a single storage device shelf, if you lost that shelf or
    port for any reason, then you lose more than one member of the raid set
    and then you are had.
