    Hi,

I have had another customer who is experiencing the same problem.
However he has installed dia230 from the Digital Unix 4.0b associated
    products volume 1 onto a 4.0b system.

I installed the product here on a 4.0 system and got the same behaviour
this is the output from script.
I did set up the environment variable but was unable to run diasetup
because I do not have a license.

Script started on Wed Feb 12 16:14:41 1997
    # dia

    DECevent V2.3
DECthreads Last Chance handler: thread 1 exiting on status exception
    0x177db005
Exception: Invalid memory address (dce / thd)
    Abort - core dumped
    # ^
script done on Wed Feb 12 16:14:48 1997

A core file is produced if anyone would like to look at this?

    Many thanks
    Avril

Please verify what the DIA_LIBRARY variable is set to. It should point to
/var/DIA. A printenv will display your environment. If the lib is not define
perform a setnev DIA_LIBRARY /var/DIA command. I would also put the command in
your .login file so it will be set each time you login.
HTH
