| 366.6 | Install kit the same for MLS+?? | ADISSW::FERRARA | Thu Apr 03 1997 13:21 | 11 | |
What about device driver kits...
If I make a Digital UNIX 4.0 device driver kit, say on a floppy,
and verify it by installing it on a UNIX machine, should that
very same kit install Ok under MLS+ 4.0A??
Thanks,
BobF

| 366.7 | installation will probably go just fine | SMURF::BAT | Segui la tua beatitudine | Thu Apr 03 1997 17:30 | 8 |
I'm not sure what distinction you are trying to make here.
A device driver "kit" contains a device driver, which depending on
what system calls it makes, may need to be modified to run on MLS+
(as described in .1 and the Programmer's Guide).
The installation places/procedures, etc. are the same as DIGITAL UNIX,
so it will probably install just fine, but...
