I was handed down a hat pin? from my GGgrandfather. I believe it
was worn on the hat. It is two rifles in a X pattern with the number 3
above it. He was in the 113th ohio volunteer army. I was wondering what
the 3 above the crossed rifles mean.
I also have a ribbon that is marked 1880 Ohio civil war reunion. It
states the township on it as well. Was wondering if there is a listing of
reunions for Civil War veterans. Maybe if I'm lucky I could trace it down
and find a picture? Any help here would be appreciated.
      Thanks, Gary

| The '3' above the crossed rifle could mean he was in the 3rd Army Corps. The crossed rifles signified infantry. Sabres stood for Cavalry and Cannon for Artillery. Regards, Chuck | |||||
