Hello!
Please bear with me on this problem because I am not familiar with this
product
but has to find solution to it. We have this customer who has an IBM mainframe
and bougth a Channel server II to connect local and remote users to the IBM.
Connected on the LAN are the Channelserver II, VAX 3100, Alpha 4100 (unix),
RS 6000s, and several HP AIX systems. The VAX 3100 is the load host for the
Channelserver using Digital SNA DOmain Gateway V2.0. The VAX itself is running
VMS 6.1 and DECnet/OSI. The channelserver used to be connected to the
'development'
side of the IBM using address 'C30' and was running. They then connected the
CT to the 'production' environment using address 'C00'.
We modified the DESNB.NCL, replacing all 'C30' with 'C00' and recompiled the
config file, thus creating DESNB.CMIP. We rebooted the CT and verified that
the
changes were done successfully but the last status of the station is 'pending
contact' while the status on the IBM side is 'PACDR'.
There are no errors on the VMS side and none also (according to the IBM system
programmer) on the IBM side.
Does anybody have any idea on the resolution of this problem? Any suggestions?
On the IBM side, we have the foLlowing config info:
   ADJB0      VBUILD  TYPE=ADJSSCP
   CDRMA      ADJCDRM
   CDRMD      CDRM
   CDRMD      ADJCDRM
   CDRMB0     VBUILD  TYPE=CDRM
   CDRMD      CDRM  CDRDYN=YES,CDRSC=OPT,ISTATUS=INACTIVE,SUBAREA=7
   CDRSCB0   VBUILD  TYPE=CDRSC
   LUDECG1   CDRSC  ISTATUS=ACTIVE,CDRM=CDRMD

   CTDEC      VBUILD  TYPE=CA
   CTCDSGG    GROUP   LNCTL=CTCA,
                      MIH=NO,
                      REPLYTO=3.0,
                      ISTATUS=ACTIVE
   CTCDSGL     LINE   ADDRESS=C00,
                      MAXBFRU=15,
                      DELAY=.3,
                      ISTATUS=ACTIVE
On the VMS side, we have this extract from DESNB.NCL:
   SET NODE DESNB CHANNEL PATH CQ-0 RECEIVE BUFFER SIZE = 24576,-
                  RECEIVE BUFFER COUNT = 128
   CREATE NODE DESNB CHANNLE PATH CQ-0 STATION CQ-0-C00 CHANNEL ADDRESS =
%XC00
   CREATE NODE DESNB SNA PU SERVICES SUBAREA PU DEC7 SUBAREA NUMBER = 7
Thanks and regards.

| | I don't believe you have to find a solution. If the custoemr paid
    for support they can call the 800 number and get a CSC person
    who IS familiar with the Domain Gateway to run a trace and figure
    out why it is not connecting.

|  |     Hi Noel,

    	Have you had any luck working this problem? I know in the past the
    gateway could not work with a channel address of C00. If you are still
    having problems I would start there.

	Please post the CHANNEL, CTLUNIT, & IODEVICE macros(from IOCP or
	screen shots from HCD) for this device address.
