Before the RUMBA for DIGITAL WIN95/NT ver 5.0 product was placed on Engineering
hold by Brian Ota, the RUMBA Product Manager, some copies were shipped to
customers. The only way to "fix" the problems on the earlier versions is to
obtain a copy of the presently shipping version, 5.0 u02a.
NOTE: Don't be alarmed if the version shows up as 5.0 u02. It will in
fact be u02a. The u02 shows up in both the initial RUMBA screen and in
the Help/About screen.
To obtain this new version for your customers in the US is to place a call with
the Customer Support Center and a new copy will be sent upon verification of
purchase. This will only work for US customers. For international customers,
you will have to contact Brian Ota at DELNI::OTA to find out how to obtain
replacement CDROMs for the ones your customer has. As far as I know there has
not been a process established for replacing the previous version CDROMs of the
product for international customers.
There are no patches available to upgrade the previous versions to u02a, as
the only way to upgrade is to obtain a new CDROM, which will also include
a new license. The license will have a valid product key and serial
number needed to install the product. The product key and serial number from
previous licenses will not work with the u02a CDROM.
You must deinstall any previous versions of ver 5.0 completely before
installing u02a. The new product will not install properly over a previous
version, as it is not an upgrade.
