Ditto on the new SkyBox cards - they look pretty nice.

| | I just picked up some 92-93 Fleer,as usual they have a border,and I
don't think that I have one that is centered. When I was done opening
the box I had 57 damaged (bent corners) cards. Out of all the cards
that I buy,it seems that Fleer are always the one that are damaged,
they must have a bunch of gorillas working for them, well there goes
another $3.00 for the post office,it seems that they are the only ones
making money,do any of you feel the same way about Fleer .

| | I picked up a couple of the TOPPS Basketball cards, they look like
the Baseball cards with a Gold card in every pack. The dealer I go to
in Worcester is getting .75 a pack or 3 packs for $2. Series I runs to
198 cards with 197 & 198 being the check list.
I called ROTmans to get there price and they are all sold out and the
person on the phone wasn't sure if they were getting anymore.
I think I found an error in one of my packs, I got a GOLD Card of Jeff
Sanders #197. Number 197 is suppose to be the check list and Jeff
Sanders is not even listed on any of the check list.
If anyone knows anything about this error let me know.

    Thanks
    Miguel

| | My local dealer had both the regular Topps at .75.pack and the jumbos
in stock. I think the jumbos we $2/3 packs.

Miguel, I think for the gold cards they dropped the checklists and re-
place them with draft picks. I believe they did this for baseball.

I saw the Jumbos for sale last night at Shaw's... They have a
suggested retail price of $1.99... The good thing is their are
** five ** gold cards per jumbo pack, vs only three in football
    jumbos.

IMO, the basketball are nice; the fronts are same ole '92 Topps but
the backs are more colorful, with another small picture located on
the top right hand corner. Also, seems like the backs have the
    same finish as the fronts...

| | The January Becketts is out. The 1984-85 Star Michael Jordan (XRC) card is
now the most valuable card in the book, up 300$ to 3200$ surpassing the
1948 Bowman George Mikan which held at 3000$.

I'm sure glad I picked 1983-88 to stop collecting cards...got my paper
    and I was free.
