385.0. "let's buy some '92 UD baseball Wax boxes" by COGITO::RICHARD () Tue Feb 04 1992 12:46

    I saw some '92 UpperDeck Baseball over the weeekend at some shows, and
    they were flying off the tables. Most boxes were selling in the low
    $30's...I've stirred up enough interest to search out the best case 
    price and buy 1 or 2 (cases, that is). All the dealers, both local
    and afar seem to agree that $26 a box is about the best we'll do right
    now. That is actually $625 a case, so I'll sell them for $27 a box the
    extra buck going towards my driving to Worcester or paying the shipping
    if i decide to go with a dealer out of state. I'll be ordering a case
    today maybe from Rotman's in Worc. ($625 a case) or another dealer if I 
    get a better price. Let me know on Cogito::Richard if you want a wax
    box or 2 or 3 or whatever and we'll see if we can do another mass pur-
    chase. (it worked out great for those of you that bought the '89 UD
    sets with me.) I should have them and be ready to go by the end of next
    week the latest.... You/I might be able to get a better price at some-
    place like Bj's but you never know when there gonna have it and for how
    long....

    Well----I've got 22 of the 24 spoken for, so that's it for case #
    1...If I get more requests and enough of them I maybe be coaxed into
    buying another...
