.1 has been hidden since it could be offensive to some people.
Editorial note here. I find it incredibly difficult to understand
how people can make light of such a devastating disease as AIDs or
HIV.
There are other notesfiles where this topic can be brow-beaten, or
joked to your heart's content. SOAPBOX, BGLAD, and many others.
Please try and refrain from joking about such a deadly disease, that
is likely to affect us, or someone we know/love, long before a cure
is found.

| I noticed, in Tuff STuff, that his Rookie card, along with Bird and
J. Irving, had dropped by -13%, to $265 for the mint card. I would
suspect though, that in the long run, this version of the card would
appreciate by 100% from these prices, as basketball fans realize just
how good Bird, Irving, and Magic really were, all should be HOF, and
all on the one card. I understand there is quite a few versions of the
Bird and Magic Rookie cards??
Magic has alot of class coming out and admitting he has AIDS, but
he has shown me even more, as he becomes a spokesman for the Virus,
and has dedicated his final years to speaking about preventative
methods of contracting the virus. This guy is ALL-CLASS! And I'm
glad Converse will honor his marketing contracts through 1995, they
also showed me some class. I'm buying Converse sneakers from now on.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there's only
one ROOKIE card of Magic and Bird in that set.
They each appear on a number of different cards, but those are
for things like scoring leaders, etc.
Their "true" ROOKIE cards are the ones they appear with each other
on, seperated by a Dr.J scoring leader card.

| Those panel cards were released with different 1/3 card combinations
on each.
I think there are two different panels that contain the actual Magic
rookie. The most valuable is the one with Magic/DrJ/Bird, but I think
there is one other one with Magic and two other 1/3 cards on it. As Roy
mentioned, there are also scoring leader and other misc cards that
might have Magic as well.
If the cards are broken up, they're pretty much worthless, although
I did see a Magic 1/3 card on a local auction board recently. (1$)
I think these were Topps worst basketball offering, even the postcard
size ones were better than these. It's too bad it was the rookie
year for the two greatest players of their time.
