691.0. "Copy and Edit games" by STC::STC::TIMMONS (Stack Overflow) Tue Nov 12 1991 12:55
This appears to be a system where by you can copy the ROM
of a SNES game onto a floppy, edit the code (for instance
NOP the code that checks how many lives are left), load
the code into RAM and play forever.
CAUTION:
Note also that one possible use of this system is illegal,
(copy games to disk and play without buying the game).
Therefore the odds of seeing such a system for sale at
Toys-R-US for use in changing the games as I want to do
is remote. Once again, crooks spoil the fun of the honest
folks.
Hopefully, we will soon see a Game Genie for SNES though.

Subject: Copier for Super Famicom (SNES), Mega Drive (Genesis), and PC-Engine
I am posting this for a friend. Send Email if interested to:
[email protected].
-------------------------------------------------------------
Disk drive system for Super Famicom (SNES), Mega Drive (Genesis), and PC-E.
Turbo-16 owners must use an adapter.
Includes 8 megabit rampack, 1.44meg 3 1/2" floppy drive, copier.
Adapters also available for Game Boy, Game Gear, Supergrafx.
Unit requires a 9v DC power supply but will run on 6 AA's as well for
portable use.
The unit is in perfect condition. I am selling to pay my tuition for next
semester. I have only one to sell. First come first serve. Send Email if
interested.
This unit is NOT the Multigame Doctor with the wires coming out of everywhere.
It is a rampack based unit. Game loads from disk into rampack (sort of a
blank cartridge) which plugs into the adapter then into the game console.

have agate news access (UC Berkeley readers know the pasteur news server
is lousy). Reply to [email protected].

Subj:	Re: Copier
Because of the nature of the unit (being multi-console compatible), it is
very expensive. The unit will include:
Main Console (3 1/2" 1.44 meg floppy disk drive, LCD display)
8 Megabits RAMPACK (think of it as a blank cartridge to load games into)
Copier
Adapters for the following systems:
Super Famicom (SNES), Mega Drive (Genesis), PC-Engine.
Also, the following adapters are available, but not included:
	Game Boy, Game Gear, Supergrafx
Turbo-16 owner need a converter to run the PC-Engine adapter.
The converter, along with a Mega Drive converter, is included!
You need to supply your own 9v DC power supply.
This multi-console disk drive will go for $850. It costed me that much,
and I'd like to get what I paid for it. If you don't have enough consoles
to justify the cost, my cousin has a Genesis-only system that he wants to
sell for $500, which will do what this system will do, but only for a Genesis.
It is NOT expandable to other systems. Thank you for your interest.
