I am also interested in this game. Do you know if it has been
released and if so where is it available????
Any info on this game would be appreciated. My son loves the
original Offroad in the arcade and is axiously awaiting this
game.

My son loved Super Off Road in the arcade, but was disappointed in
the Nintendo version. The trucks are smaller and much slower, every
small bump messes you up.

| 439.3 | I liked it, but not a lot. | ADDISN::SWEENEY | Mon Jun 11 1990 12:20 | 27 | |
I rented Super Offroad this weekend. I've played the game in the arcade every time I go into an arcade, and was happy to see this one out for Nintendo. General observations: o Though you steer with the joystick, after a couple of laps, it's easy to control the truck. Something I didn't find true with R.C. Pro-Am. o A variety of tracks (6-8) with the races running in both directions. o As stated earlier, bumps throw you off badly, but after watching the real thing (real truck on dirt tracks), I think it was realistic. o Trucks are small, but not hard to track. o As you win, you can power up your truck. Better engine, tires, shocks, etc. This increases your chances of winning further races. o Fun game for one person, though it may prove boring after several days play. This is one of the new four-player games, and probably would be a great deal of fun with the right crowd. It's a good but not great game I.M.O.. I'd probably give it a 6.5 to 7. If you liked R.C. Pro-Am, you'll probably like this one. tom | |||||
