401.0. "Solving games without spoilers" by BRAT::SMITH (Never say never, I always say.) Fri Jan 12 1990 09:42
It seems to me that so many of these games would be extremely
difficult to solve/complete without hints or spoilers. Some
of the things you need to do or find, or whatever, seem to be
quite obscure. Am I just a "super-lightweight" at game solv-
ing, or are games designed to stump most people? Granted, I
wouldn't want to spend $40+ just to waltz through a game, but
some of them seem near impossible, and hence, extremely frus-
trating to solve without clues. I was browsing through this
back-issue of Nintendo Power last night and read a "profile"
of a 14-year-old who said he had completed over 40 games, most
of them in one night! I would assume, as with so many things,
that experience has a great deal to do with it, and after a
while you just know what/when/where to do whatever, but I can't
imagine blasting through game after game, night after night.
                                                                   Mike
