Could you give a description of this game (and a rating). Also, how
does this game compare to wizards and warriors I? Does it have a
    password?

    Thanks,

    Ron.

Yes, it has a password. As for a description, it seems similar to
Wizards and Warriors, so far. That is, it seems faithful in how it
plays. There are four new areas, in two sections each, with some sort
of final area I have not seen. The sections have various hidden rooms,
non-hidden rooms, et cetera. In addition to life, you can collect
bubbles that give you magic power. There are various spells to find or
buy that let you slow down enemies, create a waterspout to lift you up,
    et cetera.

This is a hard game. There is a lot of searching around that needs to
be done. You can visit a shop and play a gambling game or buy what the
keeper has in stock. Each level has a golden item which you need to get
to accomplish something. You have to beat 4
elementals, earth, fire, air, water{I think.} You nedd to look around for
treasure rooms that are invisible because you are not always able to
find all the money you need in chests. The graphics are better in the
second on ethan the first. I would rate it 8+. I am having trouble in
the forest so could someone give me pointers.

of it you just roll right along, getting to the elementals is a
    lot harder than defeating it.
             my hints :
play the bones ,get lots of magic, bump on the sides of
clouds on the wind elemental, don't open the chest in the botom right
until you are ready(in the forest)check for walls that you can pass
through, don't go into any rooms when you have the spell to defeat
    the elemental.
how do you hurt the earth elemental(by the

I went back and redid everything this time making sure I had all
the magics available AND both the diamond shield and diamond helmut.
I can now get through two elementals fairly easily, but still can't
figure the trick to stay alive longer (though the magics are now
    available for multiple usage).

My question now is has ANYONE gotten further and if they have, how.
Secondly, at some times I've gotten diamonds on Ice Mountain. If
there's no shop why should I get them??

| | Mr. Frustrated,

If you've got a rental then you're in BIG trouble. This thing gets
    even more frustrating!!

    However, here goes.

    <spoiler>

To get to the mug: from the door you start at go right and up. go
halfway across and come down to where you can go across to the left
andUNDER where you started. Do NOT go all the way to the bottom.
As you walk across you will barely see the top of the mug inbedded
in the rock. You must figure out how to get the mug out of the rock.

    <major spoiler>

Try jumping up and down on one of the small "step rocks" near the
    mug.

Suggestion....keep checking the password for changes. You'll need
multiple lives to get through the next level and building up the
5000 (I think) gems takes too long. The password will change so
that you can start with 3 lives and there is a Kuros doll you can
pick up for a fourth. That is sufficient to get through.

    Hope it helps.

I've never observed spells disappearing when you go in a door. They do
disappear after a couple of uses; maybe that's what's happened to you?

To reach the golden fly, you need to use a spell. I think there are

A given password will always start you off with the same number of
lives. But you can get a better password by going to one of your
earlier passwords and playing through a round again until you finish
the round with more lives left.

    In some places, you can:

    	Enter password.
Go to certain location and get extra life.
    	Write down new password.
Repeat above three steps a few times.

That will get you up to three lives, which is the most a password will
give you. When you start a game with such a password, you can also go
to the location and get another extra life. You cannot get a new
password with that extra extra life, but you can play the game with it.

Sorry.....I've been suffering brainskip! I'll try to remember to
bring it in tomorrow. You should be able to win with this hint. It
also works at any level you are at when you do not have 3 men...Give
this a shot tonight and see if this is right...I'll post the correct
    one tomorrow.....

The 5th letter from the left in the password is your "lifes"
level. I believe that if you change it to a "n" it will give you
the extra lives. Give it a shot!

NWTMNPLWNNB or change your code's 5th letter to an "N"
      either way works..

an "N". This will give the 3 men. I think the code I listed back a few

Using the last code I recorded prior to selling my game the first
time and reentering the code with additional men I have managed to
wipe out 2 elementals in 3 tries at the code. I think at this point
I am going to reply the entire game and see what happens when I get

no better than eliminate 2 of the 4 Elementals on the mountain. Has

I just bought this yesterday. Now I see that nobody seems to be able to
beat it. What's the story???? Did I waste my money? I'm not a great
nintendo junkie yet. I just beat Zelda and wanted another adventure
type. I chose this over Metroid and I think I made a mistake. I did
make it into the clouds last night.

Any hints as to the location of the windbane spell? I have a sword and
a helmet. Even found the book of Sindarin. Located the elemental. Can't
find that spell. I am in the clouds. Did I miss better weapons or armor
down below? Is there more and better in the clouds that I haven't
    found?

OK people. Has anyone beaten this???? I have to know if it's beatable.
I got past all 4 elementals. I am know on the fire/ice mountain.

What now????? There is no way, it seems, that I can beat all 4 of those
suckers before I run out of life. Is there another way? Has anyone done
it????? It seems almost impossible. Should I move on to Faxanadu????

There is also an area, to the left, within the tunnel that has diamonds
