| | No Password for this game. You would not play this game for more
    than one hour or so at a time. If it takes longer, you would
    probably be defeated or win yourself. This is somewhat like a
    board game, the objective to win England and become king.

| 305.3 | It's Too Difficult | PUERTO::BARBUTO |  | Sat Aug 19 1989 22:01 | 13 |
| | I just picked up this game from a local eletronic store. I always
    pick Wilfred of Ivanhoe. So far the best I've done is conquer 2 of the
    3 enemy lords. The problem is: the third one always contains vast
    amounts of land and it's too hard to conquer it all. He always has at
    least three castles and conquering them all takes too much time. Spoilers
    are welcome wholehearted. Just wanna finish this one and start with
    my other new games.

   Thanks in advance.

	Hi John,
	  You need to use strategy to defeat the opponents. The thing I
noticed is that the Norman's earn more money for their land than you do for
your land. Each castle of the Saxons earns 3 golds on each turn. The Norman
castles earn 8 golds each turn. I've won with each of the Saxons.
      **** Spoilers Follow ****
	If you defeat the home castle of the enemy all the other territories
which they own becomes your territory. You need, in most cases, to get one
of the enemy territories (their home castle) early in the game. Remember that
Robin Hood can help you in defeating the enemy, when asked, three times.
	Let me know if you need more specifics.

| | Thanks,Bob. I just need help on something else. How 'bout so tips on
   how to conquer the castles, ( Like how to use the catapult wisely,etc)

  Thanks.

| 305.6 | Rock Throwing! | DNEAST::DUMAIS_BOB |  | Tue Aug 22 1989 06:29 | 12 |
| | O.K. Here's how I have found the catapult works best. Check the
    instructions! I have learned by trial and error. When you first
    attack the enemies castle you will see the number of solders in his
    army. Choose you weapon type to launch. The Disease bomb does more
    damage when used early. Then the Greek Fire takes about 10 percent of
    the remaining force each time used. The rocks are strictly a timing
    thing. I count the number of clicks the catapult is drawn back and let
    go around nine or ten for the top of the wall. The next around six or
    seven, and the next four or five. Again, most of this is in the
    instructions so I don't believe that there are any spoilers here.

| | Help! Need information/spoilers to figure out this game....
    such as:

    * How do you "buy" an army? I go to that screen, move the cursor
      to "soldiers" and push "A" button but nothing ever seems to
      happen. What am I doing wrong?

    * How do you get help from Robin Hood?

    * Any other hints/spoilers?

    Thanks

| 305.8 | Here's some info. | DNEAST::DUMAIS_BOB |  | Tue Aug 29 1989 16:10 | 11 |
|  |     Bob,
    	To buy an army press the A button, and it will change the color of
    the sword. Then you use the left or right arrow of the control pad to
    buy or sell any selections. Press the A button again when finished.
    You can only sell back on the same turn. If you have already bought
    armies etc. you cannot sell them back later. Check out the instructions
    for Robin's help. You must move the cursor to Sherwood Forest in move
    mode. Let me know if you need more help.

   First thing you do in this game is invade lands so you'll have land
   to joust for. Then RAID!!!! This is a effecient way to get money.
   When you have enough money, buy castles for your land, especially the
   ones that pay you the most income, and an army. Then start conquering
   enemy lands, using Robin's help wisely. Call tornaments to gain land
   ( the lands with the most income especially) and leadership points.
   Use the other replys in this notefile to good use,too.
   Feel free to ask me any other questions.

| | here's a hint on the seige. First send in the disease, fire, fire, and
    three boulders. The key is to knock as much of the wall as possible, it
    makes a difference in the battle.
