    OK, this game has been out for a couple of weeks now, where are
    the comments.  My son loved it, but has won it already.  While 
    trying to win, he thought it was the greatest.  You can get lots
    of different weapons, and you have to learn what weapon works
    best against each enemy.  Has password and continue option.

    The Nintendo Power - July/Aug 89 has some good maps for Mega Man
    II.  But here are some spoilers not in it. To kill Wood man in one
    shot, switch to fire (requires beating Heat man) hold down B button
    and wait till sound gets real high in pitch, let go of button when
    Wood man does not have his leaf shield.  To kill Crash man in two
    shots, switch to Air (requires beating Air man), shoot twice.
    In the fourth part of Dr. Wily's stage, to kill the enemy at 
    the end, use crash bombs (only use 2 bombs to get thru walls or
    you will not have enough left).  In the 5th part of the Dr. Wily
    stage, the first time you fight Dr. Wily, the crash bombs are
    the most effective.  In the secret stage (the last part of Dr.
    Wily's) the only thing that hurts him is Bubbles.
                                               

I'm having troubles with the dastardly dragon in Dr. Wily's castle.  I just
can't get past this guy.  Any help?  Should I just try running away across the
blocks, or should I stand my ground and duke it out?

        Move all the way to the right till the screen stops. Then you can
    duke it out with him. The proper weapon after another formfeed.
    
    
        Use the boomerang you got from Quickman.. I believe.

    	Further spoiler on the dragon:
    
    The last block has two other blocks above it. Stand on the top block.
    Not only will this give you a better shot at the dragon, but if you get
    hit with fire, you'll fall back onto another block, rather than drop
    into the abyss.

    Spoiler about mutant flight patterns:
    
    He flies in a big U from side to side. You need to run towards him when
    he nears the center bottom of the screen. Jump up and toss bubbles at
    him and he'll run into them. The only time you want to be near him is
    at the center bottom of the screen. At other times head for the
    opposite corner and dodge his shots.
    
    As a last resort, you *can* go through it from the beginning and
    collect the energy tanks.

When he throws crashbombs at you, jump and he'll jump with you.  And when
you're both in the air, shoot at him and repeat that until he's dead.
It won't work with saw blades.

    Just finished this game.  If anyone wants a super spoiler, I'm posting
    the password which will take you right to the Dr. Wily Secret Castle
    stage with all your weapons.
    
    Also, if anyone asks (though considering this is the 13th reply, I
    doubt it), I'll post which weapons I found to be most effective against
    whom during the final warp stage where you have to fight the 8 demons
    again.

    My son & I are stuck shortly after entering Dr. Wily.  We can get over
    the low buildings, and up the ladder, but there is a point where you
    can see the next ladder, but it's in the upper left of the screen when
    you're in the lower left.  We can get under it (with the jet sled), or
    up to it (with the ?hovercar), but can't figure out how to do both at
    once.  Hints, please!

    Well, you've got the right idea, I think.

     There's an interesting thing about the hover platform (device 1).
    
     You can have more than one on the screen at once, by pressing the
    <FIRE> button more than once.

     If you tried, you could probably jump from one hover platform to
    another.

    However:     
    
    If you're using a controller with turbo, you have to turn the turbo off
    or you won't see more than one platform at a time (actually, it
    probably puts 3 of them one on top of another).
    
    Even after I figured out what to do, it took some time to get the
    timing right.
