This is possibly SPY vs SPY. Is this primarily a two player game? If
so, I think this may be your game.
But heaven knows, I've only played and seen a small selection of
Nintendo games. There's quite possibly others that might fit your
description.

I am trying to find the name of a game, most likely older.
The "plot" a man goes through elevators and tries to gather peices of
music (notes) to put into his recorder. I think the object is when you
complete the song, you win or something that way...
