| | Re .0:

My approach is to make a complete map, room by room (use the sub-screen
frequently to tell what room you are in, since they are not explicitly
divided in the regular screen). You have to record all the connections
between the front and back sides. Then I just keep exploring. Do it
methodically; make a record of each door that you come to and explore
    them all in turn.

I expect there will be points where you will not be able to procede and
will need to come back when you have gotten certain equipment.

If all else fails, get the Official Nintendo Player's Guide; it has a
complete map as well as instructions for a lot of the game.

As for Goonies II, My opinion is...

It's a good game, but an easy game. Map everything?
I wouldn't go that far. It took me two days two win,
and that was too quick. I still play it though, Infact
I just found the Candle a week ago. And know I think
thats everything. I wouldn't buy this game, I'd see
if I could borrow it from sombody for say a week.

| | HELLLLLP!!!!!!

I just got this Game a week ago (before I saw this note) and I still
can't figure it out. I can only get to the rooms past the bridge
then it's a dead end. Am I missing something?

I have the coat, glasses, hammer, 6 keys, slingshot, boomerang,
yo-yo, bombs and molotovs. I keep losing the boomerang on the bridge
is this needed to get further in the game?

Any help would really be appreciated,
    Thanxs in advance,

    Scott

Have you tried using your glasses on all of the doors? Or your
hammer? or even your hand? It is obviously not a dead end, keep
    trying!!!

The boomerang is good, but not needed...

| | Thanks again Pat.

I had a tough time trying to select the glasses
until I accidentally pressed the right button. For those who just
got this game to select a magic implement you have to select the
Tool option (adventure scene?) then press B button until the right
tool comes up. It does'nt say this in the book, so I thought I'd
    stick it in here.

I found the glasses but can not get them to work. I have selected
them in many rooms with and without doors. What will they do for
me? I have rescued 2 of the goonies and seem to have reached an
impasse. Also how do I go in down or up holes in those rooms with
the doors??? Thanks in advance for some help.

| | re .9: I haven't played for a while but I think the glasses are

in one of the rooms in the red cavern. Thats the one across the
    bridge.

    re .10
The glasses only work in certain rooms.

    <Possible spoiler?>

They usually work in a dark room. When you use the glasses you'll
hear a tune, which means you found something. Go forward or use
a key and take whatever is in there. As far as the holes in the
ceiling are concerned; you can't go there until you get the ladder
or swimsuit (which you need the glasses for).

hope this will help you out.

It's been a while sonce anyone replied in here but I figure I can
ask anyway. Is anyone currently playing or recently played Goonies II?
I started playing (again, after a 6 mos. break) and now I am stuck. I
    need <possible spoiler>

I need the ladder. I have found just about everything else but I
can't locate that stupid ladder. I have saved 3 kids and I know where
the 4th and 5th are but I need the stupid ladder to go farther. If any
of you can remember where (or more importantly HOW) you found the
ladder I would be happy. Thanks in advance.

| | Yes, I am currently playing Goonies II - and I can't get to the lader
either. Although I have the Nintendo Players Guide which has maps and
other good stuff in it - I know where the ladder is but once under water
I lose my bearings as to which room I am in and how to get to the room
where the ladder is - any help or ideas or spoilers would be
   appreciated-

I finally found the ladder the other night and from there the rest
of the game was finished in about 2-3 hours of play. I'll give you a
little hint. Minor possible spoiler follows

You need to hit a blank wall with your bare hand and the ladder
will appear. You are very close to it if you are under water

| | I too got the ladder but now I'm stuck - I don't know where to go -
according to the Nintendo Players Guide Map of Goonies II there's a
room that I should be able to warp to another room and I think that is
probably where Annie (the mermaid) is or close to it - what do I do
    next?
    Thanks

Have you saved all the goonies?? If you haven't saved all 6 then
don't even think about Annie. Once you have saved all 6 goonies you
need the jumping shoes. There is a door that you can only get to with
the jumping shoes. If you need more help ask away and I will try to
    help.

    	SLight spoiler..

Go through the door you need the jumping shoes for. The
warp room you are looking for is in there somewhere. I don't remember
exactly but I believe that it is in the upper right corner of the map.
I don't remember if it was front or back. Hope this helps.

you can get itAfter the bridge in the purple area either use the
glasses or hammer in every room to find a secret room.
