Greetings,
I'm currently working on a project that is being developed for
multiple platforms i.e.: (VMS, OS/2, MS-WINDOWS 3.1 and MVS).
The hardware would be IBM-PC comatible, VAX and IBM's 370,
AS400 systems. The PROBLEM is the math routines for large
precision numbers are not consistent across the operating systems
and hardware.
Questions:
1.) Are there any MATH packages that are portable and compatible
with "C" available internal/external to DEC ?
2.) This will be sold to a customer so sellable product is
desirable.
Thanks in advance for the help
Beth

Are you looking for "arbitrary" precision ? If so there are several
packages in C you could use, most are free but at least one needs a small
license. Also, what do you expect the "package" to contain in addition
to the basic arithmetic operations ?
John.
