I think maybe the numbers supplied next to capacitors and inductors are the equivalent impedances at a given frequency. Notice that the frequency of the source is not given; apparently the reader must back-calculate the frequency and then proceed from there. | |||||

The frequency doens't need to be calculated. Cause the components of C
and L are your XC and XL.
