1050.0. "Tolerance (Fault-Type)" by OFFHK::HENDRY () Thu Apr 06 1989 18:29
    I don't get into this conference very much, and I wouldn't call myself
    very mathmatically oriented, although I can admire those who can.

    I have some thoughts on Fault Tolerance that may have been well trodden
    in the past, but on thinking about it may be worth a publication.

    It's the latest "thing" in DEC, but, like most things, not in the
    universe as a whole. I would initially like to solicite some other
    parties who could add a mathmatical slant to the kinds of concepts and
    issues that I have seen, and can describe.

    In short, I'm offering collaboration. If it doesn't seen to be
    worthwhile, I'll describe the topic in this file more fully, as a less
    serious issue. Either way I would like to try and take the theoretical
    concepts and general issues and make something that is useable.

    Either way, I hope it may turn out to be, at the least, entertaining.

    PS, I am at PDM in Marlboro. Most of you are probably North of me,
    hopefully not further than ZKO. Any advise gratefully receive
