|  |     I've seen a lot of books on fractals, chaotic dynamic systems, and
    the like, at the university bookstores in Boston, so if you
    have access to such a bookstore that could be a start.
    I have two books that are visually very interesing - Mandelbrot's book
    "The Fractal Geometry of Nature" and Peitgen's book "The Beauty
    of Fractals".  They are not on bifurcation per se, but have
    some information and references on it.
    Possibly you want to read Feigenbaum's origional papers.  Some of the
    books that are out are collections reprints.
