Do you mean things like CAI ?
I don't know of any programs that do this, but you could try looking
in the software tools clearinghouse. (there's a notesfile; I can't recall
the name right off; try CONFERENCES) There are program languages available that
have symbolic math capabilities (MAPLE), but I suspect that's not exactly what
you want.
Why not post some of the harder problems here and ask people to solve
them with detailed explanations ? I'd be willing to solve a few per
day (I generally look in MATH at least once a day) and I'm sure others would be
happy to help.
Are you having the most trouble with proofs ? Integration techniques ?
Word problems ?

The only tutorial that I have seen was for the
IBM. I'm having problems with those nice
beginning things . . . limits and some of the
                more complicated differentiation of equations.
I'll post a couple of examples a little later
this afternoon to give you an idea what I am
stuck on. SHould be no problem for you wizards
out there. Thanks for the offer, I appreciate it
                a great deal.

                Best regards - rob

| | I know it's 6 years since -1, but was wondering there are any VMS or DOS
tutorials out now. I have MAPLE on my workstation, but it's cumbersome
without a manual. I also use an HP48SX and have the Sparcom Calculus
PAC, but it doesn't do derivatives and its limit analysis appears to be
    unreliable.

    thanks,
    Mike
