| | Which tendon? What motion is painful? Where is the pain? Ankle or
    foot? Instep or sole?

| | I don't think the doctor knows whats wrong. Its the part that attaches
your toes to your foot. Sometimes my instep, sometimes the heel.
    Swimming is not always convienient.

| | I was diagnosed with tendonitis. The sensitive (painful) area
was a line running from the inside of my big toe down past the
inside of the ball of my foot. I couldn't walk for a day
and the doctor told me to stay off my foot for a week.
The pain appears to have gone.
I was told that with tendonitis - the best thing to do is
    give the affected area REST.

| | Doesn't sound like tendonitis to me - I had exactly those symptoms with
a stress fracture in my foot.

    Same treatment tho'!
