|  |     Their is at least one other variable that needs to be incorporated into
    your formula. Men (in general) have a greater percentage of muscle (in
    relation to body composition and otherwise) then woman. It takes more
    calories to support this extra lean muscle tissue, therefore a man
    (generally) needs to consume more calories to support the same amount
