538.0. "Moving Gas/Electricity meters ??" by KERNEL::ADAMS (Brian Adams CSC-Viables '833-3026) Tue Apr 29 1997 11:37

    Does anyone have experience of moving Gas & Electric meters,
    either inside the house (in the UK) or preferrably to an
    approved box on an exterior wall ??

    I guess I could call the relevant supply boards, but does anyone
    have actual experience ?

    The reason for this is that both are currently in a cupboard in
    the kitchen, which is to be gutted and totally refitted so it
    would be nice to get them out of the way.

    /Brian.

| | Why not ring the gas/electricity board? You'll need them to reconnect
    the supplies when you're finished anyway (unless you intend to do the
    job in a rubber suit and gasmask).

| | We had our gas meter moved into a box in the ground. No hassle just
    rang British Gas and they came and moved it.

    Can't remember the cost.
