I don't know what is "nipples" (never seen that one) but in my opinion the
most complicated games for character cell terminals are rogue-likes. There
are quite a few of them (Rogue, Moria, Hack, Angbang etc.). Look for them in
rec.games.roguelike.* newsgroups - you will find FAQs which (among other
things) list the location of sources or executables for different systems
including VMS. There was also one Rogue-like game DEVELOPED under VMS by
former Digital employee Dave Sheifler called "DoomsDay 2000" - it has a
separate notes conference (501CLB::DOOM). It was very addictive and fun
(if you are into that kind of games). Since it was developed inside DEC it
was available only to Digital employees. Its commercial version was called
"Mission: Thunderbolt" and was first released for Mac and then ported to PC.
Hack, Moria and Rogue also have notes conferences devoted to them. Look
there for kit locations.
Regards,
Arkady.

| 3122.2 | See if you can find HACK | PGREEN::SACKMANJ | Pedalo'ing the Internet | Thu May 08 1997 07:00 | 8 |
There's a game called Hack or NetHack (not networked!!) which was used
internally on VMS, I've been told this game is available as freeware
for the PC.
It's a d'n'd type game, they even supply the source code if you want to
tweak it!
