I have not used Pathworks in 18 months and you'll forgiv me for asking
some dumb questions. I am in the process of studying the Installation
    Guide and the Admin Guide.

    1. I saw in an earlier note that the the dist was on
racerx.lkg.dec.com. However, the subsets in the JAN97 Layered Products
CD don't have the same sizes, but have later dates; at least some
subsets on the JAN 97 LP have different sizes and dates. Which is the
    most current kit?

    2. When using retail clients (WIN95), apart from server licensing
(which is a must), are there are any gotchas or peculiarities for using
    Pathworks shares as mapped drives?

    3. If users already have UNIX accounts in /usr/users, I suppose I
should define the default directory for Advanced Server accounts as
    /usr/users. Right or wrong?

    4. Am I correct in assuming that there is no relationship between the
UNIX domain and the Pathworks domain?

Any replies are appreciated. If I should read more than the two manuals
mentioned above, please let me know. I have a some understanding of
licensing, although I wouldn't call myself an expert by any means.

    Regards, Kris.

| 1743.2 | have you seen ECO1? | VIRGIN::SUTTER | Who are you ??? - I'm BATMAN !!! | Wed Feb 12 1997 04:56 | 11 |
| | The kit on the LP CD is of the 6.1 version.
On racerx.lkg.dec.com you also find the 6.1 ECO1 kit that unfortunately
does not make it onto the LP CD's.
History has shown that you always have to use the latest ECO kit for a given
version.

Arnold
