    Attempting to change expired passwords on my PWOSF v6.1 PDC from a
    Windows 95 client.

    I log onto the domain. W95 tells me the password is expired and gives
    me the password change box.

    I enter old password, new password, new password.

    It then tells me that the old password is incorrect !

    Now, I did get it right when I entered it. I reset everything and tried
    again. Same. I did it again to an NT 4.0 server. Same problem.

    So, can anyone tell me whether this is a server problem or a Windows 95
    issue ?

    Thanks for any info

    Alan

| 1737.1 | is this the problem ? | WOTVAX::SHARKEYA | LoginN - even makes the coffee@ | Tue Feb 04 1997 11:28 | 10 |
|     A thought:

    A Stars article indicates that you cannot change the pw of a user where
    the PDC is in another subnet (or over the WAN) unless you use the
    \\servername syntax of NET PASSWORD.

    Could this be the root of the problem ? If so, how d we resolve it ?
